Amélia and Alain welcome you to their gite located in the heart of the Basque Country. Our accommodation is an old farmhouse completely renovated. The "Izarrak" gîte (stars in Basque) is located 19 km from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, 800 m after the town of Ostabat, at the crossroads of the main routes to Santiago de Compostela. Direct access to the GR65. The 22 km stage between Aroue and Ostabat is classified as a UNESCO heritage site.
Our cottage offers you a breathtaking view of the first peaks of the Basque Pyrenees. Whether you are pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela, hikers, cyclists, or vacationers discovering the interior Basque Country, everyone will find friendliness, rest, traditional cuisine and lively evenings.
